We have an envelope that we keep donations in. We have $1.00 donation to put in on every bunco night.
Some put more in, some put less in, just depends on what they can do. We would like everyone to put
at least one dollar in, but if they can't, it's no big deal.
The reason we started doing this is, first so if anyone in our group didn't have the money to play or buy
the gift (explained on Gifts Are Great! page), for one night, then we would let them get the money out of our donation envelope,
so they wouldn't be left out of the game.
Secondly, we keep adding to it every month, then at the end of the year, we could do something as a group.
Some things that have been done with the money from the envelope are, ski trips, cedar point trips, limo
cruises, and charities. During Christmas one year, it was used to buy presents for some of the kids on the little trees
at the stores. The good thing about having a group of 12, is usally places give group discounts for groups with 10 or
more!!
Not all groups do this, but we thought it would be a fun thing to do, to be able to put the money in all
year then do something fun at the end of the year, and have the money to do it. Planning what to do with the money is
just as fun as doing it!
