Alot of groups do the gifts. However, just like the rules, the gifts vary in how they are done. It's
always nice to receive a gift from someone, knowing that they took the time to get it for you, and thought.
So again, this is my way, but in no way better than any others.
We give everyone a gift at every bunco night. This is how we do it. We have a list with everyone's
name on it, and you just go down the list each month, and buy that person something. That way everyone gets a
gift on every bunco night, and when the year is over, everyone has received something from everyone, and has also bought something
for everyone.
I feel it is so much easier to buy for someone if you know who you are buying for. You can get a more
personal gift.
We also keep a notebook on the gift table, and the host for the night writes one question on it, and when
people are putting their gifts on the table they write their answer. This helps us get to know each other, and this
also makes it easier to buy for one another.
The questions are simple, some of the questions are things like your fav. color, music, tv show, movie, scent,
place to shop, food to eat. This way I know if one person likes the scent vanilla, I can buy them something that is
vanilla scented, candles, lotions, body sprays, ect. If someone's fav. thing to do is read, I can get them a gift
cert. for a book store. It can just be more personal, and then you know they will like what they get.
This again, isn't something all groups do, but I find it very helpful when buying gifts for people, also
it helps me get to know my group better!
